Christian, how much does God love you?

Christian, do you know just how much God loves you?

You know that He does, but do you have any way of knowing just how much?
We could talk about this topic for days and years, and one day we will do just that for all eternity!

But right now, in whatever stage of life, whatever situation, whatever frame of mind  you are in, you can know precisely how much God loves you.

In John 17 Jesus is praying His beautiful High priestly prayer, just before His betrayal and arrest. As Jesus nears the end of the prayer He says:
“…I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

Just as sure as we are that the Father sent His Son, we can Know that our Father in Heaven loves us as He loves His eternally beloved Son.

This incredible reality pierces the darkness that is in us and that surrounds us, it cuts through the veils of doubt and worry that plague us, it gently but firmly catches us by the shoulders and pulls us up out of our slump.

God, the Lord and Ruler of all time and reality.
The one who spoke all things into existence from nothing.
The One who sits in full Sovereign control of all things.
My sisters and brothers, He loves you.
He loves you.

Again and again Scripture tells us we are IN Jesus, united with Him.
The wonderful reality of 2 Corinthians 5:21 is true for every believer:
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
When God looks at you He sees you as washed and made clean through the blood of His Son, clothed in His righteousness.

With Jesus as our Saviour, God looks on us with love that is beyond measure and description, love that is truly eternal.
