Day 37…

“EL-OLAM”-“The Everlasting God”

“Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.” Genesis 21 verse 33

Our Hopes and Plans , our thoughts and even ourselves -are all finite items, they will all have an end one day. There is nothing truly stable in our lives. All our best laid plans are open to change.
But if we are in God we have our anchor we have a God and a father who will not change , who will not leave us and who will never be anything other than our God.
God is eternal he is not a finite being .Because he is eternal our futures can be secured in him also, if we are saved we are promised an eternity in Heaven with our eternal God. Circumstances may change in our lives and leave us feeling like we are just clinging on to a fast revolving world, but if we step back from this and realise that our God truly is “EL-OLAM” and he will never change , we can have an infinte comfort in this.
