Day 6

“Good friend” ? “Great friend” ? No He Is “The Best Friend”

“…but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” Proverbs 18verse 24

Although there truly is nothing better than the Christmas holidays round about now I really start to miss my friends, Why do we have friends ? Why do we really need friends ? Well God made as social creatures we need to feel unity with each other and feel support from each other. Jesus himself picked 12 people whom he called friends, Jesus didn’t need them to accomplish his work , 12 mere humans . But Jesus picked them because he wanted to, he knew the true value of Christian friendship .
Ultimately though our friends are just human same as us ,they fail and falter and have their own issues, but Jesus is the true friend. Jesus dos not fail us , he will always listen to us , he has the power to help us out of any situation  we end up in. He provides us with a shoulder to cry on, a hand to help us up , and a never-ending source of forgiveness.
Jesus knows fine you will fail him and you will let him down but he still loves you and he still wants to be your friend. If you have this friendship then make the most of it keep close to him pray to him thank him and enjoy him. If you don’t know Jesus as your friend but if you want to, just  ask him , he wont say no , he is waiting for you to ask him.

“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked”  Bernard Meltzer

Although silly , this quote is true about Jesus he knows you for what you really are, he sees what you try and hide, but he still loves you and wants to be your friend.
